Cascais’s Parede beach bathing ban lifted

The bathing ban on Parede beach, in the municipality of Cascais, was lifted today, after analysis of the water quality revealed that the microbiological values were normal, indicated the National Maritime Authority (AMN).

"After a new analysis of the water quality at Parede beach was carried out, the Portuguese Environment Agency (APA) reported that the results of the analysis indicate that the microbiological values were within the quality standards", indicates the AMN, in a statement.

Thus, it is stated in the note, "the ban on bathing at Parede beach, in the municipality of Cascais, was lifted today", with instructions having been given to raise the green flag again.

Parede beach had been banned from bathing on Wednesday due to problems with the water quality.

Duquesa beach, also in the municipality of Cascais, district of Lisbon, was also banned from bathing between Wednesday and Thursday due to problems with the water quality.
