The IPMA also placed nearly 30 municipalities in the districts of Faro, Beja, Santarém, Portalegre and Castelo Branco in very high risk of rural fire and more than 40 municipalities in the districts of Faro, Beja, Évora, Portalegre, Santarém, Castelo Branco, Viseu, Guarda, Vila Real and Bragança in high risk.

According to the institute's calculations, the risk of fire will remain in some districts in the coming days.

The risk of rural fire, determined by the IPMA, has five levels, ranging from low to maximum, and the calculations are obtained from the air temperature, relative humidity, wind speed and amount of precipitation in the last 24 hours.

On days of very high or maximum risk, it is forbidden to burn and use motor-driven machines not equipped with certain equipment, such as fire extinguishers and spark or spark retention devices.

The IPMA predicts for today on the continent a partly cloudy sky, generally very cloudy on the coast of the North region and, until the end of the morning and from the end of the afternoon, on the coast of the Central region. From the afternoon, light rain or drizzle is expected on the North coast.

There should be a small drop in the maximum temperature in the North and Center and a small increase in the Algarve leeward.

Minimum temperatures will range between six degrees Celsius (in Bragança) and 15 (in Faro) and maximum temperatures between 19 (in Viana do Castelo) and 30 (in Faro).
