Pombal. Son detained after "continued verbal and physical aggression" against his mother
After appearing in court on Thursday, the 56-year-old man was banned from contacting the victim and was forced to leave the house where he lived with his mother.

A 56-year-old man was arrested on Wednesday in Pombal, Leiria district, as part of an investigation into domestic violence and after the Public Prosecutor's Office issued an arrest warrant.
According to a statement from the Public Security Police (PSP) to which Notícias ao Minuto had access, the man lived with his mother and the family relationship between the two "had been deteriorating over time through continued verbal and physical aggression allegedly carried out by the son".
In this sense, it was "necessary to proceed with his arrest to protect the victim and prevent the continuation of the mistreatment", it is also stated.
After appearing in court on Thursday, the man was forbidden from contacting the victim and was forced to leave the house where he lived with his mother.
