"It means that the issue of dialogue between parties will be raised there", considered Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, who was speaking to journalists at the headquarters of the Food Bank Against Hunger, in Lisbon.

On this occasion, the Head of State reiterated that he expects the State Budget for 2025, which the PSD/CDS-PP Government will present in October, to be approved, with an agreement "regarding many fundamental measures".

Then, he said that "there are other [measures] on which there is no agreement, because they are promises of some parties, and these parties, with the support of other parties, although with the opposing vote of the Government parties, pass certain laws", without giving any specific example.

"But, if you look carefully, the laws that involve money only start to be applied on January 1st of next year. Therefore, everything will stop at next year's Budget", he added.

Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa stressed that "the measures are approved, but as they do not fit in this year's Budget, which has already been approved, they await next year's Budget, to be applied from January 1st".
