Accident in Arganil kills 20-year-old boy. 21-year-old in critical condition
A road accident in the early hours of today caused one death and one serious injury in Foz d'Égua, in the municipality of Arganil, a source from the Coimbra Sub-regional Emergency and Civil Protection Command told Lusa.

According to the same source, the authorities were alerted to the accident at 5:21 am, and firefighters, the National Institute of Medical Emergency and the National Republican Guard (GNR) were dispatched to the scene.
A source from the GNR General Command said that it was a single-vehicle accident in the parish of Piódão.
The fatal victim is a 20-year-old man, the driver of the vehicle, and the seriously injured person is a 21-year-old woman, an occupant, the GNR added.
The GNR's Road Traffic Accident Criminal Investigation Unit is investigating the circumstances of the accident.
