It wasn't just in Luz. Taylor Swift also 'cheered up' hospitalized children
On the day the American singer took to the stage at the Estádio da Luz, in Lisbon, for the first time, the Pediatric Wing of the Hospital de São João broadcast the film-concert 'The Eras Tour (Taylor's Version)'.

Children admitted to the Pediatric Ward of São João Hospital, in Porto, also had the right to watch a Taylor Swift concert, last Friday, May 24. On the day the American singer took to the stage at Estádio da Luz, in Lisbon, for the first time, the hospital unit broadcast the film-concert 'The Eras Tour (Taylor's Version)', which is available on the streaming platform Disney+.
"With this moment, the Pediatric Ward reinforces the commitment to create positive moments for hospitalized children and their families, contributing to their well-being and to alleviating the anxiety inherent to a hospitAl stay", indicated the hospital, in a statement sent to newsrooms.
The president of the Board of Directors of São João, Maria João Baptista, highlighted that "initiatives of this nature play a fundamental role for children and families in the Pediatric Ward, from the point of view of well-being and leisure, but also from the therapeutic point of view in the recovery process."
As for the person in charge of the Educational Team, Gabriela Borges, "this is yet another moment in which we can contribute so that these children and young people have a more positive experience of what a hospitAl stay is, seeking to bring them moments of joy and relaxation".
According to the note, the screening of the film-concert took place in a mobile cinema unit, which was provided by The Walt Disney Company Portugal to the Pediatric Ward, "with the aim of helping to reinvent the experience of children in a hospitAl environment".
In addition to watching the film-concert, the hospitalized children and young people also made "friendship bracelets", which is already "a tradition among the singer's fans at live concerts".
Taylor Swift, it is recalled, made her debut in Portugal last week, with two concerts at Estádio da Luz, in Lisbon, on Friday and Saturday. Both concerts were sold out.
