Health plan ready for a week. It will be presented on Wednesday
The health emergency plan has been ready for a week and will be presented on Wednesday by the Prime Minister, the coordinator of the working group that drew up the document told Lusa today.

The plan, provided for in the Government Program, will focus on the recovery of waiting lists for appointments, surgeries and exams, in the response of maternal and child care and in primary health care.
Eurico Castro Alves, who coordinated a group of 13 people who made the emergency plan, declined to advance the measures provided for in the plan that he delivered to the Minister of Health a week ago, justifying with "the commitment to the Government".
The 'online' newspaper Observador reports that the plan has emergency measures to be taken on June 1, urgent measures to be implemented within 30 days to six months, and structural measures to be implemented in the long term.
In the areas of Obstetrics and Pediatrics, the plan provides, according to the newspaper, a set of incentives to fix and attract specialists, particularly in the Lisbon and Tagus Valley region.
For emergency services, pilot projects are planned in the Lisbon and Porto areas aimed at non-urgent patients (screened with blue and green bracelets) and "new ideas" on care in overloaded emergency services.
According to Observador, the plan establishes the creation of the specialty of emergency and emergency medicine and, for health centers, the focus will be on strengthening proximity care and, similar to what will be done with obstetricians and pediatricians, family doctors will also have the opportunity to benefit from a set of incentives if they agree to work in areas with a high shortage of specialists, namely in Lisbon and Tagus Valley.
The plan also provides for the recovery of waiting lists for oncological surgeries, by increasing the remuneration incentives for teams of professionals who agree to operate in additional hours.
Eurico Castro Alves confirmed to Lusa that these measures are provided for in the plan.
