"End the blockade on Gaza" and "our freedom is incomplete without the freedom of the Palestinians" were two of the phrases that could be read on the posters, in the event organized The event is organized by the Portuguese Council for Peace and Cooperation (CPPC), CGTP, Movement for the rights of the Palestinian people and for peace in the Middle East (MPPM) and the Ruído project.

The vice-president of the MPPM, Carlos Almeida, told Lusa that "this is yet another action of solidarity with the Palestinian cause, given the continuation of the genocide, despite the decision of the International Court of Justice to impose the end of Israeli operations in Rafah".

The leader stressed that with the recognition of the Palestinian State by three European countries - Spain, Norway and Ireland - Portugal became more isolated in its position of non-recognition of the State of Palestine.
