According to the lists to the national bodies posted today, Nuno Melo will keep Álvaro Castello-Branco, Telmo Correia, Paulo Núncio, Ana Clara Birrento, Diogo Moura, João Varandas Fernandes and Maria Luísa Aldim as vice-presidents.

In a continuity list, Pedro Morais Soares will also remain as secretary-general.

As spokespersons, Isabel Galriça Neto and the current members of the executive committee Catarina Araújo and Durval Tiago Ferreira will continue.

There are also new bodies introduced with the statutory changes approved at the last congress, which took place in 2022. The communications coordinator will be the current secretary-general of Juventude Popular, Tomás Amaro Monteiro, and the programmatic support office will be led by Ricardo Pinheiro Alves.

The position of local authority coordinator, previously held by Mário Araújo e Silva, will once again be occupied by Fernando Barbosa, who held it with the previous leader, Francisco Rodrigues dos Santos.

The 12 members of the executive committee will be Alexandra Almeida, César Navio, Raquel Paradela, António Marinho, Bruno Bobone, Domingos Alberto Doutel, Duarte Nuno Correia, Francisco Kreye, Inês Montargil, Hélder Amaral, Luís Gonçalves Folhadela and Vasco Becker-Weinberg.

The former parliamentary leader Nuno Magalhães is the first name on the list for the National Council, a body that will be chaired by Luís Queiró. Until now, the position was held by former minister Luís Pedro Mota Soares.

José Manuel Rodrigues remains as president of the congress.

The lists of candidates for the national bodies of the CDS-PP were posted on the door of the Pavilhão Cidade de Viseu, where the party's 31st Congress ends today.

The election, by secret ballot, has already opened and will run until 11:30 am, with the announcement of the results scheduled for one hour later, followed by the inauguration and the speech of consecration of the party president.
