In the final stretch of the debate scheduled by the PS to abolish tolls on the former SCUTs, Hugo Soares took to the pulpit to make a final challenge that he considered to be the "acid test to find out if there is a blockage or an opposition that wants to build solutions for everyone".

The PSD's challenge is for the parties to lower all the initiatives that will be voted on at the end of the debate to the specialty, considering the PSD's parliamentary leader that this is "a serious appeal for dialogue" and that it meets what is the composition of this parliament".

For Hugo Soares, the PS managed to "square the circle" on this issue of tolls, appealing to the socialists to put on "the shoes of responsibility".

The social-democratic parliamentary leader applauded the PSD and the CDS for being "where they have always been".
