Chega advocates for a "full audit" of Santa Casa (and admits CPI)
Chega's president defended today that a "full audit" be carried out at Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Lisboa, especially to the term of office of the provider Ana Jorge, and admitted to proposing a parliamentary inquiry.

"I think there has to be a full audit of what happened at Santa Casa, because a lot of money is at stake, a lot of our money is at stake, and there is one thing we know, each investment was more ruinous than the other", he said.
André Ventura was speaking to journalists on the sidelines of a visit to the Campo de Ourique Market, in Lisbon, and considered that "it is impossible to always be wrong, so there was either bad faith or self-benefit".
"I do not exclude, in the future, presenting a commission of inquiry into the Santa Casa issue, because I think the Portuguese are tired of being fooled in the use of money and I think this deserves parliamentary investigation", he defended, considering that "this is a subject that the parliament should not put aside to investigate, because there is a lot to know here about what the money went on".
However, the Chega leader recalled that the commission of inquiry into the case of the Portuguese-Brazilian twins will begin and "parliament cannot, of course, conduct inquiries at all times".
"In any case, I hope that the Public Prosecutor's Office is attentive and is seeing what is happening because, at the end of the line, this issue of Santa Casa will probably be resolved in the courts and will be resolved with criminal investigations more than with political investigations", he said.
André Ventura also indicated that Chega will ask the Minister of Labour, Solidarity and Social Security for the "evidentiary elements" that support "the serious accusations she made".
