Europe has "bailed out the banks too many times" and now it is the people's turn
The leader of the Left Bloc in the European elections defended today that "Europe has already saved the banks too many times" and that it is now "time to look" at the people, pointing out Peace and Health as European challenges.

"Europe has already saved banks too many times. It's time to look at the people, at the real living conditions. We need European minimums so that in Portugal people don't receive salaries well below the minimum and pay prices well above the maximum," defended Catarina Martins, in Matosinhos, in the district of Porto, at the end of a street march in the Feira da Senhora da Hora.
The former BE coordinator also pointed out "three fundamental ideas" with which the party is running in the elections on June 9: "This term will end almost there in 2030. Either something is done about the climate transition now, or it will not be done. Portugal knows the fires, the dangers, we know that we need investment, European investment must reach Portugal so that we can have a better life, a safer territory".
"Secondly, how are we going to live without knowing whether or not public services are working, whether pensions are enough to live on, whether house prices are decent? This is also European politics".
"The challenges in Europe will be those of Peace and for that it is necessary to have the will to have peace, the challenges of Health, with an aging population, how can we have access to low-cost health care for everyone so that we can have a long but also quality life," she concluded.
