Dams? Hearing approved with Minister of Finance and AT director
The deputies of the Budget and Finance Committee unanimously approved today several requests for hearings with the Minister of Finance and the Director-General of AT on the taxes on dams.

The requests came from the PSD, Chega and Left Bloc to summon the Minister of Finance, Joaquim Miranda Sarmento, and the Director-General of the Tax and Customs Authority (AT), Helena Borges, to parliament regarding the collection of taxes related to dams.
The three requests ended up being merged into one, with the possibility of the Minister of Finance being represented at the hearing by the Secretary of State for Tax Affairs.
When presenting the requests, the deputies pointed out the need to understand the stage of the liquidation of the IMI of the dams, as well as the IMT and the Stamp Duty related to the sale of six dams in the Douro by EDP to a consortium led by Engie.
