"Shocked". Pedro Nuno in "deep revolt" with attack on Robert Fico
The secretary-general of the Socialist Party (PS), Pedro Nuno Santos, also used the social network X to wish Robert Fico "a quick and full recovery".

The Secretary-General of the Socialist Party (PS), Pedro Nuno Santos, said he was "shocked" by the violent attack suffered by the Slovak Prime Minister, Robert Fico, on Wednesday.
"Shocked by the violent attack suffered today by the Slovak Prime Minister, Robert Fico. On behalf of myself and the Socialist Party, I express our solidarity", Pedro Nuno Santos began by writing, in a post on social network X.
The PS Secretary-General also highlighted the party's "deep outrage" "against this cowardly act, and we hope for a quick and full recovery" for Robert Fico.
"We all have the responsibility to protect democracy from days like today. May everything be done to bring those responsible to justice", he concluded.

It is worth recalling that the Prime Minister of Slovakia, Robert Fico, was shot in the chest and stomach on Wednesday in Handlova, after a meeting with the Government.
The Prime Minister was taken to hospital and, according to a post on his official Facebook page, "is currently in danger of death", after being "shot several times".
The suspect has been arrested by the authorities.
