Chega promotes campaign action in Golegã with Tânger Correia absent
Chega carried out a campaign action for the European elections in Golegã today, with the aim of promoting "agriculture and the rural world", but the top candidate canceled his presence.

Despite the expected presence of the list's leader, António Tânger Correia, he ended up not attending and the action was led by the number two, Tiago Moreira de Sá, a former member of the PSD.
"Our program gives great prominence to agriculture and the rural world, and it is very important for us to carry out this type of action," said Tiago Moreira de Sá.
The action took place in Golegã, at Expoégua, an annual event organized by the local council that celebrates the mare and her young, with a series of equestrian activities.
The initiative was attended by several Chega deputies and members of the list for the European elections, who were received by the Mayor of Golegã, António Camilo.
Speaking to Lusa, Tiago Moreira de Sá said he believes in a good electoral result, emphasizing that the goal is to win the elections.
"A good result would be to win, and that is the goal set by the party president. I am confident that we can contest these elections not only because of the party's growth in the last legislative elections but also because in Europe there is a clear shift to the right," he said.
Regarding the party's proposals for the European elections, the number two on the Chega list said that the main objectives are to combat "illegal and unregulated" immigration, to counter the impoverishment of the middle classes, and to "prioritize security and defense issues in Europe".
After visiting stands scattered around the fairgrounds, the members of the list, the deputies, and supporters held a dinner party at the central café.
