Chega approves housing support if it is extended to those up to 40 years old
Chega's President, André Ventura, promised today that his party would approve the housing support presented by the Government for the young, if they were extended to those up to 40 years old.

"We hereby issue the challenge, it is a bargaining chip: if the PSD broadens the scope of support to 40 years, Chega will vote in favor of the Government's support measures. It is a challenge that I hereby directly address to the Prime Minister and the Minister of Housing", declared the president of Chega.
André Ventura was speaking to journalists in Montijo, district of Setúbal, with the Chega head of list for the European elections of June 9, António Tânger Corrêa, by his side.
In the European plan, he announced that Chega intends to "propose a major European plan against corruption so that states are forced to implement effective measures against corruption from illicit enrichment to the confiscation of assets".
André Ventura added that Chega also intends to propose at the European level "that support for housing and rent for young people, because the European Union has a real problem with young people, can be extended to 40 years", as well as at the national level.
"We will propose the extension, including in the Portuguese parliament, of support for young people in housing and rent to 40 years old. And we hope for the Government to be open to negotiating this diploma and to make it viable", he declared.
The president of Chega asked the PSD/CDS-PP Government to "have the courage to extend these benefits to 40 years old".
"If this is done, we have the conditions for a quick approval in parliament, regardless of the PS, regardless of the BE, because we have the majority to approve these measures", he said.
