Madeira. IL does not believe that the "contraption" between PS and JPP will work

The Representative of the Republic, Irineu Barreto, is listening, on Tuesday, to all the parties elected last Sunday in the regional elections of Madeira Island, after they did not result in any obvious formation of a new government.
After the meeting with the Representative of the Republic, Nuno Morna from the Liberal Initiative, spoke to journalists, showing himself available to make agreements with the future regional executive, as long as it also makes "concessions".
"We will be available, case by case, point by point, decree by decree, from budget to budget, to discuss, present our proposals, to give in on one side if the others give in on the other, in order to be able to value the measures that can make Madeira have a greater development than it has", he stressed.
Questioned about the possibility of the PS forming a government hand in hand with the JPP, thus putting an end to the 48-year hegemony of leadership on the right in the region, Nuno Morna said he did not believe that this "contraption" would work, since it had already fallen out at other times.
"I have some difficulty in accepting that this contraption makes any sense. Two protagonists who, in 2018, fell out in the Funchal Chamber due to lack of trust. I have some difficulty in accepting that Élvio Sousa, a week ago, said that choosing between the PSD and the PS is 'let the Devil come and choose' and after all he is the devil himself and nobody knew. I have difficulty in accepting that it will work. It makes me a little strange and a little impressed", he said.
Before the IL, Irineu Barreto received the PAN. Next, he will receive the CDS-PP, Chega, JPP, PS and, finally, the PSD.
