OpenAI could launch rival search engine to Google
Rumours suggest the official announcement could be made as early as next week.

Google is expected to unveil new features in the area of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on May 14 with this year's edition of the I/O event, but before the event, OpenAI is expected to make an announcement that could have major implications for the Mountain View tech company.
As reported by the BGR website, a rumor is currently circulating that OpenAI will officially announce its own search engine, an area in which co-founder and CEO Sam Altman has already expressed great interest.
It is believed that this announcement could take place from May 9th, which would certainly help put pressure on rival Google given that the search engine continues to be one of the company's largest sources of revenue.
