Apple is 'saving' new iPad for later in the year
It should be a more affordable model.

Apple is widely expected to announce a new iPad Pro with an OLED display and an iPad Air with a larger 12.9-inch display for the first time. However, there’s a third new iPad model that Apple is reportedly planning to announce closer to the end of 2024.
Bloomberg reports that Apple is working on a new entry-level iPad. The idea is to reportedly release a more affordable version of the 10th-generation iPad that would allow Apple to discontinue the cheapest iPad it currently sells.
In addition to this entry-level iPad, Apple is also reportedly working on a new iPad mini, but that model is not expected to be released until later.
