New Nintendo console may be compatible with Switch games
A good sign for those who have the brand's current console and plan to purchase the successor.

The Switch successor is coming "this fiscal year". The confirmation came this Tuesday, May 7, from the 'voice' of Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa himself.
Through the X social network - the former Twitter -, the company's leader promised an "announcement" on this topic by March 2015.
"This is Furukawa, President of Nintendo. We will make an announcement about the successor to Nintendo Switch within this fiscal year", he wrote.
In the same message, Furukawa recalled that "it has been over nine years since we announced the existence of the Nintendo Switch, back in March 2015", also mentioning that, "in June", the company will hold "a Nintendo Direct" - related to the titles for the console for the second half of 2024.
But he left a warning: "There will be no mention of the successor to the Nintendo Switch during that presentation".

Recall that, at the end of last month, a company dedicated to the production of accessories for the Switch based in China - named MobaPad - said it had access to some details about the new console.
The company in question says that the new Nintendo console will be backward compatible with the Switch, meaning that any game released for the brand's current console can be enjoyed on the new platform.
