Disney+'s 'Shōgun' Could (Even) Get a Second Season

The miniseries ‘Shōgun’ is one of the most successful new series of 2024 on Disney+, and with such success, it seems increasingly likely that there will indeed be a second season.
The Deadline website says that Hiroyuki Sanada, producer and lead actor of ‘Shōgun’, has reached an agreement to return to the role of protagonist Yoshii Toranaga. It is worth remembering that ‘Shōgun’ initially began as a direct adaptation of James Clavell’s work, but with these plans, the story should be further developed.
Note that no decisions have yet been made official about a possible second season, so other agreements still need to be finalised.
