'Final Fantasy' producer to proceed with layoffs
Square-Enix will lay off in both North America and Europe.

The production company responsible for games such as ‘Final Fantasy’ and ‘Dragon Quest’, Square-Enix, announced that it will move forward with layoffs in both North America and Europe.
The number of people who will be affected by this decision is not known, but according to the VGC website, it will impact several divisions such as the one in charge of independent games, the IT department and also the area of the company that works as a publisher.
The decision was announced shortly after the presentation of the company's financial results, which reported a 70% loss in profit compared to the same period last year.
