Prime Video Sets ‘Tomb Raider’ Series From ‘Fleabag’ Creator

Amazon has announced that it has given the green light to a television series based on “Tomb Raider,” the iconic video game franchise featuring Lara Croft that will help boost the content catalog of Prime Video.
The series is known to be written by Phoebe Waller-Bridge, the creator responsible for “Fleabag” who will also serve as executive producer.
“If I could tell my teenage self that I would be writing a ‘Tomb Raider’ series for TV, I would have exploded. ‘Tomb Raider’ has been such a huge part of my life, and I’m incredibly excited to be involved in bringing it to television with the brilliant team at Amazon,” Waller-Bridge said according to the Engadget website. “Lara Croft is such an iconic character, and the games have meant so much to so many people, myself included. I can’t wait to work with Amazon and the team at dj2 to bring this show to life.”
Unfortunately, there is still no premiere date for this “Tomb Raider” series.
