Information is circulating that Valve is about to announce its next online game - called ‘Deadlock’ - which will reportedly be similar to ‘Counter-Strike’, ‘Valorant’ and ‘Overwatch’.
The information was shared by a content creator named Gabe Follower and by Tyler McVicker, known for leaking confidential information from Valve.
“In terms of scale, this is supposed to be Valve’s next big competitive game,” said McVicker, who describes ‘Deadlock’ as if “‘Valorant’, ‘Overwatch’, ‘Dota 2’ and ‘Team Fortress 2’ had a baby”.
Meanwhile, the first images of the game were also shared on the social network X and you can see them below.
Allegedly, ‘Deadlock’ will be a mix between ‘steampunk’ and fantasy and has been in development since 2018 by Icefrog, responsible for the original ‘DotA’ mod. Players will be able to control specific characters in six-on-six matches on four different ‘lanes’.
Since testers started sharing Deadlock screenshots all over the place, here's ones I can verify, featuring one of the heroes called Grey Talon. pic.twitter.com/KdZSRxObSz
