It is one of the 95 moons that can be found in the vicinity of the largest planet in the Solar System.

NASA shared a new photo taken by the Juno probe in the vicinity of Jupiter but, this time, the focus is not the largest planet in the Solar System but rather a very small moon named Amalthea.
The images in question were captured by Juno in March, during the 59th approach to Jupiter that took the probe just 265.5 km away from the planet's atmosphere. At this point, JunoCam managed to capture images that clearly show the small size of the Amalthea moon in relation to Jupiter.
It is worth remembering that Jupiter has a total of 95 moons and, in the case of Amalthea, this small moon is in the orbit of the (better known) Io along with three other small moons: Metis, Adrastea and Thebe.
If you were standing on Amalthea you'd have a spectacular view of giant Jupiter. Make a virtual visit here: https://t.co/OUB98lZtpE pic.twitter.com/p6l9lu5d1R
