PlayStation enjoys another successful PC release
‘Ghost of Tsushima’ had higher numbers than ‘God of War’.

It was released for PC last Thursday, May 16, another game developed by PlayStation's internal studios. The title in question is ‘Ghost of Tsushima’, a game developed by Sucker Punch that surpassed ‘God of War’ and became the ‘single-player’ game with the best debut on Steam.
According to numbers shared by Steam's owner, Valve, ‘Ghost of Tsushima’ reached a total of 77,154 simultaneous players. It is worth remembering that, two years ago, ‘God of War’ did not go beyond 73,529 simultaneous players.
However, the IGN website says that the online game ‘Helldivers 2’ remains PlayStation's most successful game on PC. In just 12 weeks, ‘Helldivers 2’ managed to sell 12 million copies thanks to the simultaneous launch on PlayStation and Steam.
In the case of ‘Ghost of Tsushima, it is worth remembering that this title was originally released for PlayStation 4 in July 2020. In the meantime, the game was entitled to an expansion and was released in its full version for PlayStation 5. It is this version - named ‘Ghost of Tsushima: Director's Cut’ - that is available on Steam.
