Fans of South Korean productions like ‘Squid Game’ might want to check out ‘The 8 Show’, a new series based on the ‘webtoons’ ‘Money Game’ and its sequel ‘Pie Game’ by Bae Jin-soo.
‘The 8 Show’ follows a competition where contestants are locked in a building and the longer they stay, the more money they accumulate for the final prize. However, to stay longer, they must add time to the clock by figuring out the competition’s many rules.
With this premise and a diverse cast of characters that highlights the social differences between them, ‘The 8 Show’ has all the makings of your next Netflix binge-watch while you wait for ‘Squid Game’ season 2.
