Asus has already confirmed that it intends to officially reveal the new version of its portable console - called the ROG Ally X - on June 2, an occasion that will serve to unveil the major new features in relation to the original model.
However, the VideoCardz website seems to have had access to some of the specifications and claims that Asus has doubled the battery capacity. Instead of the 40Wh of the original ROG Ally, the ROG Ally X will have an 80Wh battery. In addition, the publication also claims that the ROG Ally X will have 24GB of RAM, more than the 16GB of its predecessor.
These improvements could make the ROG Ally X bulkier and heavier than the original console, but thanks to the optimization of the internal components, it seems that the console will be (only) 5mm thicker than the original, which was 32mm.
Otherwise, you can still find the same Ryzen Z1 Extreme processor and also the 7-inch LCD screen with FullHD resolution and variable refresh rate up to 120Hz. The ROG Ally X is believed to cost $799.
