YouTube has over 75 (free) games to enjoy
A new area that leads YouTube to rival Netflix in video games.

YouTube has announced a new area of its platform dedicated to video games – not videos about the medium, but games that can be played for free by all users.
The new area is called Playables and features over 75 games that can be played by anyone visiting YouTube. The new area is available on both the desktop and mobile versions of YouTube, and features titles such as ‘Angry Birds’ and ‘Cut the Rope’.
YouTube Playables is live now, but it is not yet available in all regions. However, YouTube noted in a blog post that it will “expand availability to more users in the coming months”.
It is worth noting that YouTube is not the only video streaming platform to feature its own games, with Netflix and Crunchyroll both having their own areas dedicated to the medium.
