Tech Inovação
A group of researchers from the University of Colorado Boulder appear to have discovered a new technique that could allow electronic devices to be charged (almost) instantaneously.
The study was published in the scientific journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences and suggests that a mobile phone (for example) could be recharged to 100% in just 60 seconds. The key appears to be in the movement of ions, with the study outlining the technique needed to create more efficient and therefore faster movement.
It’s unlikely that we’ll see this innovation in our hands anytime soon, as more research and development will be needed before the technology can be turned into products ready for the market.
However, the ability to recharge our phones, watches, laptops and (who knows) electric cars in a matter of seconds or a few minutes would undoubtedly be useful.
