After the success of series such as ‘The Last of Us’ (from HBO) and ‘Fallout’ (from Prime Video), it is evident that adaptations of major video game ‘franchises’ are in vogue. Well, Amazon is preparing another adaptation of a video game saga and, this time, the chosen one is Sega’s ‘Yakuza’.
Amazon announced that ‘Like a Dragon: Yakuza’ will be entitled to six episodes and that the launch will be divided into two moments: the first on October 25 and the second on November 1.
It is known that Masaharu Take will be the director and that Ryoma Takeuchi will be responsible for playing the protagonist Kazuma Kyriu.
The IGN website says that the plot will take place in the fictional district of Kamurocho in Tokyo, Japan, in two distinct periods (1995 and 2005) and that it will be based on the first game of the saga, originally released in 2005.
